The Grove Wine Bar & Kitchen

Over the years, restaurateur Reed Clemons has operated some of Austin's favorite Downtown places, like the Bitter End Bistro & Brewery, the B-Side bar, Mezzaluna, the Granite Cafe, and Capitol Brasserie. Those are all gone now, and Clemons has moved to West Lake for his latest creation.

The Grove Wine Bar and Kitchen

Prolific Austin restaurateur Reed Clemons didn't have to look far when he and business partner Beth Selbe Lasita decided to open a wine bar together. The perfect location happened to be down the road from Lasita's new home in the Westbank.

The team was instantly drawn to a grove of magnificent oak trees that studded the new Bee Cave West development, and they knew that was the place.

New Restaurant Review: The Grove Wine Bar and Kitchen

A new wine bar — The Grove Wine Bar and Kitchen — opened last week about 600 yards from our front door (just west of 360 on Bee Caves Rd), so we decided to give it a try last night for an early New Year’s Eve.

We’ve been looking forward to The Grove opening for several months, once we saw the huge outdoor wood deck beneath the grove of Live Oak trees next to the restaurant (thus the name).
