About the wine:
100% Barbera. This claret colored red wine has an intense taste that is rich with fruit, dry, full-bodied, and low in acidity. It pairs with just about anything on our menu and can easily be enjoyed on it’s own as a cocktail. This is the 1st time in history that this particular wine has been made available outside of Piedmont. There were only 500 cases produced, of which 50 cases were imported to Texas, and The Grove is the only place in Austin you can find it! We sell the bottle for $43 and you can have it for 25% less than that ($32.25) if you take it “to go”…like all of our wines.
About the producer:
Located in the town of Alba, this Barbera vineyard has been in the same family for 4 generations and passed down from father to son. At this time, both Roagna Igino and his wife are in charge of running the vineyard, transforming the grapes into wine, and bottling.
The vineyard was planted approximately 60 years ago by his grandfather. They take special care of the vineyards without the use of herbicides, insecticides, or chemical products, using only traditional methods.
